RETIREMENT COMMUNITY IN KING COUNTY, WA
Continually evolving to reflect
the desires of today’s seniors.
Emerald Heights, an affiliate of Emerald Communities, has been a not-for-profit, senior living community in Redmond, Washington since the early 1990s. Over the years, we’ve welcomed thousands of seniors in the Northwest to an independent lifestyle focused on active living, well-being, value, stability and health care. We’ve evolved and changed over time, just as our residents have. Today, we’re stronger than ever.
Throughout our history, we’ve evolved to suit the needs of today’s active seniors. However, some key aspects of Emerald Heights remain the same. Our diverse group of vibrant and outgoing residents shape the character and culture of Emerald Heights. Our Life Care concept continues to be a vital source of security for residents. Plus, our staff remains dedicated to providing the high-quality services and amenities residents expect. All of these aspects make Emerald Heights a sought-after choice for retirement living.
OUR HISTORY
Our story began in 1979, with the forward-thinking vision of Whitney Corwin. Corwin had become familiar with the Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) model and was impressed with everything it had to offer. But the closest CCRC’s he found were in Seattle, and all with long waiting lists. Corwin conceived and championed the idea of creating a CCRC specifically to serve seniors on the Eastside of Seattle.
Following our expansion in 2014, Emerald Heights is now home to more than 550 residents. Our sister community, Heron’s Key, is now open in Gig Harbor, Washington.
